“Miroir” at mianki.Gallery, Berlin

The exhibition "Miroir" (by Keiko Nakamura) at mianki.Gallery consists of 40 pieces, which cover the walls of the gallery. The proposal consists of generating an experience of intimacy and contemplation. The work has different readings and interpretations depending on the light and the distance from which it is observed. From a distance, the geometric pattern imposes itself with its rhythm, ordering the entire composition. Up close, the imperfections of the line, of the technique, of the application of up to 12 successive layers of materials, generate a topography, like a landscape in which we can lose ourselves in contemplation. It is always different, it always changes. It always returns a different image of ourselves to us. This is the theme of the exhibition. We are the subject, through the mirror and the memory of Keiko Nakamura.
